Angry Bambi was one of the first wildlife paintings I did in watercolor. It was hugely inspired by my Midwestern childhood home. Living right next to a wildlife preserve was an incredibly key part of creating my artistic interests. I loved drawing and painting the animals who wandered through our yard day and night as a young adult. The creatures living in such harmony were truly a sight to behold. I will never forget watching how they interacted or just walked by eachother going about their business when creatures little and big crossed paths.
